HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY..... again!

Hi and welcome, thanks for popping by

First things first, my apologies for not posting yesterday, the card above was for yesterday!  I'm afraid the 'old war wounds' were pretty bad etc etc
So let me get straight down to the card.
Using A4 Baby Pink Foundation Card I scored it in half to create an A5 portrait card.  I also cut several thin layers of the pink and white card. On a piece of white foundation card I stamp and heat embossed the sentiment Happy Mother's Day by Clarity using WOW Gold Satin Pearl Embossing Powder.  Next I cut the Cascading Butterflies Die using White Foundation Card, I didn't use the outer cutting die as I wanted the image of the butterflies only.  I then embossed this card with one of my folders from my stash.  I cut 2 of the same elements from the Kinetics - 3D Window Box & Accessories in white card.  I used 4 different shades of ProMarkers to colour the flowers  and window boxes, highlighted the tulips using a white pencil, added mounting foam to the back of the window boxes, from that set and adhered 3 small flat back pearls to each box and to the centres of the smaller flowers.
I chose 3 of the butterflies, sprayed them with adhesive glue and sprinkled Diamond Sprinkles Glitter Jewels over them.  I then removed the excess, applied Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear PVA Glue to the centre of each butterfly and added white flat back pearls.
Where the butterflies had been cut., on the white card, I applied some double sided adhesive sheet to cover the cut image on the back of the card, then working on the front of the card I used Golden Jewels Gilding Flakes to the butterfly shapes, and, with a piece of Rubit Scrubit I burnished the gilding flakes.
I used one of my tag dies from my stash to cut and emboss the sentiment then gently dusted a little distress ink, around the edges, using one of my smoothies that already had Victorian Velvet Distress Ink on it.  Mounting foam was applied to the back of the sentiment and adhered to the card.  I also adhered the smallest butterflies to the edge of the sentiment.
I applied Cosmic Glue to the spine of the two remaining butterflies and adhered to the matching gilded images.  The window boxes were adhered to the base of the card, a verse attached to the card inside and that was the card finished

Thank you for visiting, I do like to read all of your comments and it also lets me know you've called

IDEAL FOR BAKERS - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

    Hi... thanks for popping by
This is a cute Mother's Day Card especially if the recipient is a baker!
I love this Sherbet Foundation Card by CE.  I folded an A4 piece of this card to create a portrait A5.  Using one of the  pierced oval dies from SW's collection, I cut a piece of white foundation card then embossed it using Cascading Hearts EF by SW.  This was then adhered, at a jaunty angle, to the card base.  I then cut and embossed several pieces from the Necessities - Apron Die Set by SW for CE.  I used paper from Smirk 6"x6" Designer Paper Pack to cut the apron.  I also cut an extra piece for the 3 pockets and cut these landscape.  Mounting foam was attached to the back and adhered to the apron.  The single pocket, rolling pin, mixing spoon, spatula and oven mitts were cut and embossed on white foundation card.  I used an already inked smoothie to add some colour to the single pocket, mitts, spatula and mixing spoon.  I also used some pre-cut mini, mini hearts, adhered two together and placed them on the centre of the single pocket.  Using silver mirri card I then cut and embossed the set of measuring spoons and whisk.  The apron strings were cut from very narrow white satin ribbon.  The You're One In A Million sentiment is from SW's Kinetics Range - Candy Machine.  I cut and embossed it onto sherbert foundation card then using the outer die cut another piece of white foundation card and adhered the sentiment to it.  Mounting foam was also added to the back of this to give dimension.  I typed Happy Mother's Day onto copy paper and adhered it to the rolling pin

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to leave me a comment, which I do appreciate

    HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

    Hi... thanks for popping by

For this particular Mother's Day Card I cut an A4 piece of white card, landscape, to measure 7.25".  I then used the first two score lines (A6 and A5 Gatefold) to create folds on either side of the card.
I choose a pretty green paper by docrafts CAPSULE collection for the centre of the card and used a Martha Stewart Corner Punch on all four corners of the paper.  I then adhered to the centre of the card.  I cut and embossed the centre piece using the Gillian Die from SW's Frames & Tags, one in white card and one in a matching green paper from the above collection.  I adhered these together and gently smoothed a little Mustard Seed Distress Ink using the blending tool from yesterday's card (I did not apply more ink to the blending pad).  Mounting foam was adhered to the back of the centre piece then attached to the card.  I next cut several swirls from the Daisy Flourish Rhinestones Collection by Hobby House and added these to the focal point.
I cut and embossed two Wispy Fronds from SW's Finishing Touches Collection and adhered one to both side panels.  I also added a little Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue to the outer sides of the Wispy Fronds and sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels in Diamond Sprinkles to the glued areas.
I used a Clarity Stamp for the sentiment and this was heat embossed after I applied WOW Gold Satin Pearl Embossing Powder.  I cut several flowers from the Spring Foliage - Finishing Touches Collection by SW, shaped them using a small ball tool, adhered several layers then used a spray adhesive by Crafter's Companion over the flowers then sprinkled Diamond Sprinkles Glitter Jewels over them.  I added a small gold sequin to the centre of each flower then adhered these to the card.
To complete I stamped a verse onto the back of the card using another Clarity Stamp for Mother's Day.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I look forward to reading all your comments and will always answer any questions you may have

HELLO SUNSHINE and CARD WINNER ANNOUNCED

    Hi... thanks for popping by

Firstly though, my apologies for late post!
I thought I'd bring a splash of sunshine to this dismal wet day so let's get started.

I started with a white, 5"x7" card base and cut a strip off the front measuring approximately 2" plus.
I stamped the remaining card front using VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad onto Heartfelt Creations's Sunflower Stamp Pad. Once stamped I sprinkled WOW Embossing Powder in White Pearl Regular over the stamped image, removed the excess and heat set it.  With the excess card I cut another two thin strips but varied the width of these.  Next I applied plenty of ink to my blending tool using Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Mustard Seed' and applied it to the bottom half of the stamped image.  I then applied Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Scattered Straw'  to another blender pad and covered the remaining image.  I did the same to the two thin strips of card stock.  I used a paper towel to rub the excess inks from the stamped image.
I measured a piece of acetate and cut it to fit to make a 'complete' card.  I used red line double sided tape to adhere the acetate onto the edge of the cut piece of card and then adhered the wider of the two strips of card over it.  I added the smaller strip of card to the outer edge of the acetate (hence creating a 'complete' card).
On white foundation card by CE I cut  the Cascading Butterflies from Sue Wilson's Finishing Touches Range for CE.  I used both the outer and inner dies to do this. I inked the butterflies, on both sides,  using the pre-inked blending tool.  These were adhered to the acetate using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue by CE.
On a sheet of A4 white foundation card I typed Hello Sunshine,  I then copied and pasted it to the whole card  (I will store the other strips for future cards or classes).  I used the smaller ribbon tag die by SW to cut the sentiment and inked around it, using Mustard Seed Distress Ink, whilst keeping it in the die.  Next I used the same tag die to cut a piece of vellum that I adhered to the sentiment (to give it a softer look) and added two tiny hearts and one tiny circle to the edge of it.  I added mounting foam to the sentiment and adhered to my card.
Finally using a small rubber stamp named 'Tapestry', and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink, I stamped several images to the inside of the card that could be seen through the acetate.
Compared to the stages shown to make this card it really did not take that long to make it!
