NEW CHALLENGE AT MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES - MAWTT

Hello and welcome...
A new challenge starts today at MAWTT, Wendy/our leader, is the host and the challenge is:

WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY/ENGAGEMENT

Wendy has a gorgeous set of 'John Lockwood Stamps' for the winner of the challenge so please take a visit to MAWTT to see the fabulous creations from my teamies, you may want to enter your own card, especially with the delightful stamp set as a prize!

This is my contribution to the design team
I made this card for my husband as yesterday was our wedding anniversary.  In the 'flesh' the card has more copper tone although it does show to be more gold on the photo!
  • I started with thin mats of black and white foundation card.  The black base card measures 19.5cm x 17cm
  • on a smaller piece of white card I applied a piece of double sided adhesive sheet, removed the backing and added gilding flakes to it.  I burnished them in with a piece of rubit-scrubit and poured the left-over back into the pot
  • on white card I die cut and embossed the Scattered Leaves Background Die, added glue to the back and adhered it to the gilding flakes
  • I die cut and embossed the outer die from the Noble Die Set to create a frame and applied Old Gold Metallic Gilding Wax over it.  I then polished it with a paper towel and added mounting foam to the back for dimension
  • the sentiment is from my stash and was stamped onto white card using a StazOn Ink pad in Jet Black
  • I used an oval die to cut and emboss the sentiment, left it in the die and gently inked it, using a smoothie and Antique Linen Distress Ink
  • I added mounting foam to the back, again for dimension then adhered it to the centre of my card
  • to complete I added a personal verse
